Our comprehensive fixed fee covers the filing fee, one certified copy, a notice to the employer for child support wage orders, all attorney and paralegal time, copies, postage, and in-person notary services. The client is responsible for any additional costs.
For cases involving children, our fixed fee is based on standard Texas guidelines for child support, custody, and visitation schedules. If you wish to request alternative arrangements, such as deviating from the standard possession order or waiving child support, additional fees may apply.
If you wish to create an agreement that differs from standard Texas guidelines, we require mediation. This process results in a formal settlement agreement that must be approved by a Texas judge, except in cases involving family violence. Please be aware that a judge may reject agreements that significantly depart from state standards.
